Ensuring military aircraft are properly maintained is vital, both in terms of operational efficiency and safety. This is often done using Maintenance Management Systems (MMS). However, reliance on legacy systems can do much to impede this endeavour.
The Portuguese Air Force approached Critical with the task of modernising the legacy MMS used on their fleet of AW101 aircraft. Using a three-pillared approach, Critical was able to produce a dynamic solution that delivered results and kept aircraft safe.
