Critical Software Wins 'Investment Growth Award' at the DIT Business Awards
This week, Critical Software was honoured at the 2018 DIT Business Awards, hosted by the UK Department for International Trade in Portugal.
Critical Software received the ‘Investment Growth Award’ at the DIT Business Awards, hosted by the UK Department for International Trade in Portugal.
The 2018 edition, held on 3rd October at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Lisbon, marks the 10th anniversary of the prestigious awards.
The event was created to reward and recognise the entrepreneurial effort of Portuguese companies that have chosen the UK as an investment destination, as well as those UK companies who have achieved success in Portugal, some of which are also direct investors in the Portuguese market.
This year saw special guests Andrew Mitchell, HM Trade Commissioner for Europe, and Christopher Sainty, HM Ambassador to Portugal, present the awards. Twenty-seven companies from different sectors were recognised, Critical Software among them.
“To win the ‘Investment Growth Award’ and be recognised for the work we’ve been doing in the UK is a huge honour”, commented Yiannaki Loizou, Global Marketing Director at Critical Software.
“I think the biggest thing is that it recognises our global culture,” he continued. “We invest in and employ talent wherever in the world it exists. The close relationship between Portugal and the UK has been central to this. Internationalism is at the heart of our company.”
The UK continues to be one of Critical Software’s fastest growing markets, with projects in the energy, aerospace and transport sectors particularly strong.
