Critical Software Wins DCC Partner Excellence Award
This award marks the fifth time Critical Software has been honoured by the DCC, after receiving the Partnership Award every year between 2019 and 2022.
Critical Software is proud to have been awarded the Partner Excellence Award by the Data Communications Company (DCC), the UK’s digital smart meter operator.
This award marks the fifth time Critical Software has been honoured by the DCC, after receiving the Partnership Award every year between 2019 and 2022.
The prize - contested by big beasts in the energy and utilities sector including Capgemini, CGI, Accenture and Vodafone – demonstrates the strength of Critical’s relationship with the DCC as it continues the smart meter rollout across the UK.
Since the launch of the programme in 2011, over 29 million meters have been installed and are used to connect, monitor and manage homes and businesses’ energy use in real time. Smart meters form the backbone of the UK’s Net Zero aspirations, and it’s working: over 1 million tonnes of Co2 emissions were saved during 2023.
Tim Fawbert, DCC Key Account Manager at Critical Software, said of the award: “The team at Critical Software has really rolled up its sleeves this year, so we’re extremely proud to have been rewarded for our hard work by the DCC. Getting to the top and persevering when striving towards our goals are threads running through everything we do at Critical, and it’s fantastic to see this attitude paying off. The positive impact of this successful approach can be seen in our delivery of ECOS as well as within our ongoing involvement in the 4G comms hub programme.”
