Covid-19: A Message From Our CEO

March 31, 2020

João Carreira, Critical Software’s CEO, addresses how we’re adapting to the challenges Covid-19 presents to businesses and the community.

The world from outer space

The last few weeks have been tough for many of us and I want to begin by sending my best wishes to you and your loved ones. I appreciate that you may have received quite a few messages on the Covid-19 situation recently. Nonetheless, during these unprecedented times, I want to let you know what we’re doing at Critical Software to meet the challenges we face.

At Critical, the health and safety of our people, our clients and our community come first. We’re following the guidance from governments and health bodies and we’ve established dedicated teams to monitor the Covid-19 situation daily, including any impact on our people, our internal operations and our infrastructure. We’ve put into practice our contingency plans to ensure we continue to provide services to our clients in the safest possible way.

Fortunately, most of our work at Critical can be done remotely. Our IT infrastructure is well prepared to support our community working fully remote, including communications, development environments, project management, applications and security. Our commitment is to continue providing the same high standards of service our clients have come to expect from us, with our teams across the globe providing support seamlessly throughout this period.

Naturally, many of our clients will be adapting to their own new ways of working. If there is any way we can support you, please let us know – we’d be more than happy to help.

Covid-19 affects all of us: our families, our businesses, our communities and our way of life. Although these are challenging times, I’ve been inspired by the courage, resilience and sense of togetherness that people have shown as we navigate this crisis – from the healthcare professionals on the frontline working tirelessly to care for us, to the business communities putting forward their own talent and resources to combat the virus. There is much to be proud of in the way people are responding and – on behalf of the whole Critical family – we will continue to stand by you as a partner you can rely on.

Warmest wishes,

Joao Carreira

CEO, Critical Software
