AQAP 150 and AQAP 2110
In November 2005, Critical obtained the NATO AQAP 2110 and AQAP 150 certification, the first Portuguese IT company to do so. The audit was carried out in September 2005 by the Gabinete de Engenharia e Qualidade da Direcção de Mecânica e Logística da Força Aérea Portuguesa, the department within Portuguese Air Force responsible for AQAP standards certification.
AQAP 2110 certification guarantees that we, as a supplier, are able to satisfy contractually defined requirements to any customer in this business area. These requirements imply the existence of an established, documented, implemented, maintained, monitored and improved QMS.
We have since moved on, providing our clients with a improved, time-tested and matured QMS, oriented and compliant with AQAP rules and tempered by the experience of having had such certification.
The AQAP 150 is geared towards quality management of the software development process, with its focus either in technical or management processes.
These standard objectives are:
- Establish visibility for the software development process
- Detect software quality problems as early as possible in the development cycle
- Make quality data available for quality control
- Guarantee quality is integrated with software development process
- Ensure software artefacts satisfy contractual requirements
- Ensure that safety issues are taken into consideration
